Say hi to Pearl, a gentle 8-year-old Lab/Whippet mix rescued from the NYC kill shelter. When she was brought in, she had a happy greeting for everyone as if to say "Are you my new home?" At our vet's she became a staff favorite because of her kind demeanor. Pear is an incredible dog with a heart of gold. 

At her foster home, Pearl bonded with her foster mom and follows her everywhere, offering snuggles. She'll often placing her head or paw in a lap to offer a little love. She's been good with other dogs giving a casual hello on the street, but she's more human focused looking to say hi to folks on the street. On her walks, you can really see the Whippet with her graceful stride.  

Pearl has been through a lot. Her ear is split and she has some scars. She's on the skinny side--she's 40lbs but should be closer to 48. It's clear that her previous human did not provide the care she so deserves.

Pearl is a sensitive girl who seems to know her life is in flux and is trying to figure it all out. She's hoping she can find some stability and that her next home will be her forever home.
