Agatha is a 6-year-old, super sweet, snuggly, 58 lb Pit/Lab mix. She's all smiles, loves people and has won the hearts of everyone who has met her. A volunteer writes: A soft and gentle sweetheart, a sad-eyed beauty in a caramel coat, with a long, elegant tail that's forever busy wagging. On a recent snowy day, Agatha and I venture out for a walk. I'm immediately struck by her beautiful face. Her sweet, floppy ears, adorable button nose, and those eyes that seem to speak novels all at once. She does have some old scars across her muzzle. Flecks of pink, maybe years old, now healed-over and forgotten, possibly even by Agatha herself. To me they serve as a reminder to shower her with even more love. So I cradle her head, hug her butterscotch frame, and plant kisses on every pink speck I can find.
Agatha arrived in our care along with her housemate when her owner could no longer provide them care. She is an easy walker, taking pleasure in the little things along the path, stopping to sniff every blade and each bloom, not wanting to miss a thing. She appears to be housebroken, tending to business straight away, and takes her treats gently from my hand, leaving her cold nose against my palm long after they've disappeared. At 6 years-old, whatever her past, Agatha has certainly had one. But if there are bad feelings to be had or hurt to harbor, Agatha's not in the know. There's no mystery to Agatha but she does have one secret. That's the key to happiness. She holds that in her heart, and she's waiting to give it to you.
Agatha has been through a lot. The beautiful girl has a few masses which we are working with our vet right now to remove. Feel free to contact us for more information and updates on how this amazing girl is doing! If you are interested in opening your home to Agatha please download an Adoption Application.
Agatha is current on her vaccinations, spayed and housetrained.
